ViaZym was founded in 2007 and develops enzyme technologies to improve the practical use of enzymes, including enzyme immobilization (stabilization) , enzyme characterization and synthetic route development.

Luuk van Langen received his PhD in Organic Chemistry and Biocatalysis with Roger Sheldon at the Delft University of Technology in 2001. He was closely involved in the development of innovative enzyme technologies, such as cross-linked enzyme aggregates (CLEA) and authored over 25 scientific papers in the field of biocatalysis.
